Meet Dr. Boyd

Dr. Doug Boyd graduated from the University of Idaho in 1967, with a B.S. degree and earned his dental degree from the University of Oregon Dental School in 1971. After dental school, Doug served a dental internship at Wilford Hall Medical Center, U.S.A.F. hospital. He was stationed at Hanscom Air Force Base as a general dentist from 1972-1974. In 1976, after completing his certification in endodontics and earning a Masters degree at the University of Oregon Health Sciences Center, Doug served as endodontist from 1976-1979 at Sheppard Air Force Base Hospital. In 1979, he started his own private practice in the Portland area.

Dr. Boyd maintains a philosophy of treating everyone as he would like to be treated, administering IV Sedation to those patients who have difficulty in the dental chair. Dr. Boyd is a proud father, grandfather and is, of course, an avid fan of U of O Duck Football and Basketball. Go Ducks!

Meet Dr. Kecht

Dr. Christian Kecht graduated from Saint Martin’s University in Washington State in 2003 with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology. He then earned his Doctor of Dental surgery degree from the University of Washington in 2007. He worked with his dental school mentor for three years before continuing on to complete a two year residency program at Temple University in Philadelphia to obtain his certificate in the specialty of endodontics. After completing his advanced endodontic training he returned to the Pacific Northwest and has been practicing in the Portland area since.

Dr. Kecht grew up in a military family and was accustomed to relocating often with his sister, mother, and father, who served for 27 years in the US Army. He experienced living in several different states and countries and interacted with people from all walks of life. Now he is happy to call the Pacific Northwest home and in his free time you can catch him biking around the waterfront in downtown Portland with his wife or fishing for steelhead on the Wilson River.
